Forty Days: Day 20

You may be wondering where I got my name, The Silent Spectator. Well, before I started blogging, I came across this blog entitled “Curious Tester,” and read one of the entries. That particular entry was “The Silent Spectator—Please Speak Up.” Hence my name.

The “Curios Tester” blog is owned by Parimala Shankaraiah, a “testing junkie and an aspiring writer.” Eversince I started blogging, I’ve been visiting her blog every once in a while. Today, I read from her latest entry that it’s been exactly one year since she started blogging, and that like me, she was also inspired by another blogger, Pradeep Soundararajan. The day she started blogging, Pradeep sent her an email which said:

Hi Parimala,

I found your blog with no posts. No matter how ever short it is, I would want you to consider posting your experiences as a software tester.

One of the important things to consider when you start blogging is – first do it for yourself and if others are reading it, fine.

Someday, I hope I can inspire others to start blogging too.

Forty Days: Day 8

The Silent Spectator is tired and not in the mood to blog today.

Four

Now there are three four people who know who The Silent Spectator is.

The fourth one discovered this blog by accident. No wonder, who would recognize something better than its owner? In this case, that something was her own name. She saw it in one of my blog entries. She PM-ed me right away when she discovered it was me who wrote it! And she made a lot of wonderful comments! (Awww. *sniff* *sniff*)

Honestly, I was surprised and, at the same time, happy of her discovery. It feels really good when someone shows his/her appreciation to my work especially when it happens unexpectedly like this.

Just a while ago, a fellow blogger wrote that four is an unlucky number. That’s why they wouldn’t transfer to room 304 despite of the worsening leaks in their own room. Well, for me, four isn’t bad. When I started this blog, I had none. Zero.

Anyway, it’s getting late. So good night everyone! And may all of us have a happy dream!

BTW, the name was Kimmy.

Today is a happy day, and The Silent Spectator is not in the mood to write.
