Donghae

First thing in the morning, I saw Kimmy‘s tweets greeting Donghae for his birthday. “Hmmm… so it’s Donghae’s birthday today,” I thought to myself. And then… “it” occurred to me.

MY SHORT ESSAY ABOUT THE PHILIPPINES (via At The End Of The Day)

Kimmy shared a link on Twitter just a while ago:

http://superdooper13.tumblr.com/post/656513061/a-korean-students-essay-on-the-philippines

I wanted to reblog it; however, I didn’t know how to do it on Tumblr. So I looked for the same essay in a WordPress blog, and here it is. This is totally an eye opener. I hope every Filipino gets the chance to read this. Aside from the problem mentioned in the essay, that of us Filipinos lacking love for our country, I think another problem is our lack of an effective leader who would initiate this patriotic love.

by: Jaeyoun Kim*forwarded by chester via emailFilipinos always complain about the corruption inthe Philippines . Do you really think the corruption is the problem of the Philippines ? I do notthink so. I strongly believe that the problem is the lack of love for the Philippines .Let me first talk about my country, Korea . It might help you understand my point. After the Korean War, South Korea was oneof the poorest countries in the world. Koreans … Read More

Forty Days: Day 31

Kimmy introduced me to Ian Choe’s music. Ian Choe is a Korean residing in Massachussetts, and is a friend of 2PM’s Nichkhun. Let’s welcome him to YouTube by watching his very first video:

I used to think that Goldie is happy because she’s got almost everything a person could dream for: money, parents who are doctors, a big house, iPhone, credit card, etc. But I was wrong. She said that all of these, she doesn’t really want. What she really wants is to be best at something so that people won’t compare her with others anymore. Her parents always compare her with her brother who’s always a dean’s lister, and the college org which she handled before always compares her with the new president who managed to grab them an award for community service—one thing Goldie failed to do during her term.

During a lunch date at McDonald’s with Kpop Lover and Audrey last week, we talked about our dreams and the means on how to achieve them. We also talked about our sad issues and who may be the saddest person in our dorm.

I thought of all of my dormmates and realized that each of them is sad in one way or another. Veronica is sad because she’s not close with her parents and as a result, can’t open up her feelings to them. Goldie is sad because she’s always being compared with her siblings and orgmates. Unni is sad because there are a lot of things to do and too little time on her hands. Kpop Lover is sad because her mom expects her to watch over her little brother and take responsibility for their pharmacy. Audrey is sad because she still doesn’t have a US visa. Jobie is sad because she’s leaving for the States on July and will have to leave her non-US-citizen mom behind. Ruffa and Gretchen are still a mystery to me but I think they’re sad too.

While I was sweeping the floor just moments ago, I thought all those things over, and realized that even though I’m not rich like most of them, I may actually be the happiest person in the dorm.

Kpop Lover flew to Manila tonight. Tomorrow, she and her family will be flying not to Korea but to Thailand.

Forty Days: Day 17

How do you picture a world without adjectives?

Boring, dull, plain… name it. Even describing it would require a lot of adjectives.

In a world without adjectives, how do I say I’m lonely? Or that I’m quite depressed today? Or that F.T. Island’s Lee Jaejin looked good on “Showtime” this morning?

In a world without adjectives, how do I say I’m lucky? That I have a wonderful mom and a brother who’s got a great sense of humor?

In a world without adjectives, how do I say my friends are awesome? Or that Kimmy is really fun to chat with, or that The Frustrated Artist is amazing?

In a world without adjectives, how do I say that life is beautiful? Or that God is perfect?

It’s just not possible. Even my name has an adjective.

The Silent Spectator

Omona!!! (Draft)

Oh my gosh!!!

Manila. April 10, 2010.

Super Junior is coming to the Philippines!

My gosh! I.. I feel.. I am so.. I.. How do I put this?

Shiet! I’m speechless.

***

Kimmy just confirmed it. They really are coming! They’re going to visit Manila as part of their Super Show 2 Tour (Manila Bulletin). I’ve really been expecting this since their album had reached gold status in the Philippines last year but I was still surprised when Kimmy texted me. My gosh! I still couldn’t believe I’m gonna meet them this soon. How I wish I could hug Kyuhyun! Actually, I’m already devising a plan. I’m gonna bake cookies and give them to him. Or I’m gonna make a huge placard with his name and picture. Kyuhyun!! ♥

Draft saved on January 15, 2019 @ 23:50

So that was the draft I saved last night. I should be publishing it right now, but the excitement is over. Thanks so much to the concert’s organizers for pricing the tickets that high. My mom didn’t allow me to attend it. :’(

Sighs. I really wanted to see them. Anyway, The Frustrated Artist gave me a very brilliant idea! So… violin, anyone? For only 2,000 Php, buy now! Please!!!

The Orange Pill

It’s the second time a Super Junior member appeared in my dream. First, there was Heechul. Last night, there was Kangin!

It was a weird dream (as 99.9% of dreams are). My dream began with a little boy running toward a police officer to report a man who had implanted an orange pill into the eye of a fried fish (which looked like tilapia). The orange pill contained a considerable amount of addictive substance, and the man the little boy was referring to was no other than Kangin! It was revealed that Kangin’s plan was to hide the pill temporarily until he gets back to it to consume it. Unfortunately for him, the cops were already on their way to arrest him and charge him with “use of illegal drugs.” As for me, I was just a curious bystander watching the whole scene like a movie.

It’s funny how Kangin had faithfully held on to his “bad boy” image even in my dream! But funnier thing was that I never saw his face! I only saw his back but I was sure it was Kangin! He was wearing a striped shirt.

Just a while ago, I received a text message from Kimmy. She said she dreamed of a Super Junior member too! Eeteuk! However, compared to my dream, hers was sad and gloomy. In her dream, Eeteuk was crying while saying goodbye. He hugged her tightly and that made her cry too. Then he told her something which she didn’t understand. But one thing was clear: He was saying goodbye to her and to his fellow SuJu members.

Oh no. Do these dreams imply that something bad might happen to SuJu? Well, I guess I should just stop over-analyzing. It’s been a good year for them. The first 11 months of the year, to be specific. Things have not been going so well with them lately because of some disputes with their company. But still, it’s been a great successful year. Hope the coming year goes well with them as well. :)

Four

Now there are three four people who know who The Silent Spectator is.

The fourth one discovered this blog by accident. No wonder, who would recognize something better than its owner? In this case, that something was her own name. She saw it in one of my blog entries. She PM-ed me right away when she discovered it was me who wrote it! And she made a lot of wonderful comments! (Awww. *sniff* *sniff*)

Honestly, I was surprised and, at the same time, happy of her discovery. It feels really good when someone shows his/her appreciation to my work especially when it happens unexpectedly like this. :)

Just a while ago, a fellow blogger wrote that four is an unlucky number. That’s why they wouldn’t transfer to room 304 despite of the worsening leaks in their own room. Well, for me, four isn’t bad. When I started this blog, I had none. Zero.

Anyway, it’s getting late. So good night everyone! And may all of us have a happy dream!

BTW, the name was Kimmy. :)
